China Syndrome Emergency at Fukushima 8/6/13 update (Trouble Just Beginning)

Publicado em 06/08/2013
Damn, I tried to put myself into Fukushima Rehab for the last few days. I was doing great... nearly through the "white knuckling it" phase... Now All of This! I picked a bad week to give up Fukushima report updates. http://youtu.be/lyhaTQseKTQ
Of course, this all takes place on the anniversary of the Nagasaki bombing...
I'm not going to give a big long list of the shit that's in this report. I'm too fucking tired of this shit for that. I'm just going to copy paste the Enenews headlines... After Yet Another Computer Crash!
BTW, I highly suggest you subscribe to the people in my list of "Other Fukushima Reporters" area on my YT page. I'm fizzling out here...

Pedestrian Counterflow 2

Enviado em 02/12/2011
This VISWALK simulation is a variant of thishttp://youtu.be/QkVOjbRq-Io model with more challenging conditions: there are now 4 input flows, 4 destinations and a larger demand in total.

Pedestrians are color-coded by input area. The minor difference in color shows their destination area on the other side of the corridor. Again this means that some of the streams have to cross, the lanes are dissolved and need to reform in time to avoid a dead lock.

Historic crowd disasters show that a crowd in such a counterflow situation is not always able to avoid a deadlock for arbitrary demands. The conditions when a deadlock occurs do not only depend on the inflow from both sides but also on the spatial extent of the bottleneck area and if this area is visible by the inflowing crowds. This implies that it is very difficult, if not impossible, to calibrate the parameters to produce a bottleneck under the correct inflow volumes. Typically this is not a problem as the interest is mainly in situations when conditions become clearly uncomfortable - which is still far from a deadlock.

Crowd Panic Research | Tomorrow Today

Publicado em 09/09/2013 How can scientists prevent people from being injured or killed at major events when panic breaks out? In experiments involving nearly 1,000 participants carried out by the Jülich Research Center and the University of Siegen, they collected huge amounts of data on how people react in crowds when chaos breaks out. For three days, the test subjects were involved in a series of scenarios, walking through artificially constructed bottlenecks, simulated intersections and adjustable emergency exits. The researchers want to know the best way to construct buildings, stadiums and exits to help improve safety at football games and other big gatherings. MONUMENTAL Troubles at Fukushima. From BAD to WORSE update 8/31/13 - The entire Pacific Ocean to be fully contaminated in 6 years?

Publicado em 31/08/2013
Where do I begin? Expect MORE leaks of highly radioactive water from the hundreds and hundreds of on site storage tanks built piss poor. The entire Pacific Ocean to be fully contaminated in 6 years? Qualification on that story, not sure they are using the right map on that one.. Trouble to remove the Highly Radioactive Damaged spent fuel rods in (simply reactor spent fuel pool #4 ALONE) that contains approx 14,000 Times the radiation from the single Hiroshima Bomb. Pacific Ocean already Boiling?... You'll just have to see this report to believe all the problems they are having. Not to mention, they are mistreating employees... so they are also going to run out of workers. It's suggested TEPCO step aside and let the government handle the ongoing crises. The problems they face seem insurmountable to overcome. Too many to even list.... WAY WAY WAY TOO MANY. (way to many to edit today, too)

Hungary: the environmental disaster in Kolontar

Enviado em 09/10/2010
- The video show images of the chemical leak of the aluminum industry in Ajka, located 165 km from Budapest, Hungary's capital. Kolontar and Devecser were other affected regions. The breaking of the reservoir of "red-mud" (occurred in 04/10/10) caused more an environmental disaster, endangering the ecosystem's equilibrium and the life of the Danube River. The "red-mud" is a toxic and chemical residue (e.g. lead) of the aluminium industry, generated from the refining of bauxite for aluminum production.
